Cadbury Dairy Milk Shock

I experienced a huge shocker today when I opened a pack of  Cadbury Dairy Milk and unwrapped its golden foil. What unfolded before me was a disaster like situation. I purchased this pack at a local store as I wanted to have something 'Meetha' after my dinner which sadly coincided with their current campaign ‘Khaane Ke Baad Meethe Mein Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye’.

Here is what gave me the creeps !!!

I began opening the  Cadbury Dairy Milk after coming back home from the store.

I am almost ready to remove the golden foil and dig into the Cadbury Dairy Milk.

I first see the back and notice some white spots or should I say Bubbles getting in between the Cadbury Dairy Milk and me.

THE SHOCKER!!!!
Upon flipping the Cadbury Dairy Milk to the other side - the Ghastly looking  chocolate begins to show. I wonder if I should be still calling it Chocolate.

What are those bubbles? I begin to wonder!

Are these white particles just plain sugar that remained undissolved throughout the making of the Cadbury  Dairy Milk in the factory?

Or, could the white particles be some sort of eggs of a reptile? -- Gives me the creeps.

Still Creepy!!!!

I can't imagine that I ate two of these blocks in the dark unknowingly.

Then, I begin to think if Cadbury Dairy Milk has changed the texture of its Chocolates in the recent past.

But, who in their right mind would give their Chocolate a texture like this one? Was this some mixing ratio gone wrong in the factory?

I had two of these and I am alive.

Was this Cadbury Dairy Milk infested with something worse?  I heard about Cadbury  Dairy Milk trying to protect its brand in the past after their chocolates were found to be contaminated. They had to hire Amitabh Bacchan to do the talking and reassuring the general public.

Want to see more? Here they are - The creepy white protruding Bubbles.

It says, Rich Classic Milk Chocolate - Why? How?
How can Chocolate this bad be Rich and Classic?

I find this on the packaging. 'CADBURY QUALITY' along with a set of instructions to  return the product [which I won't do considering the money I have wasted in purchasing this one and the money that I will have to lose in packing this product and mailing it back to them] OR email them about the nature of the complaint. I chose to email them about this.

Before I emailed them, I just wanted to check the contents once again and make sure that  everything that went into the  Cadbury Dairy Milk was appropriate.

Sent a mail to suggestions@cadburyindia.com with the product details and waiting for a reply.
I will keep you all updated if they bother to reply.

Cadbury Dairy Milk has been nothing but a disappointment for me this time. I may never touch a Cadbury Dairy Milk again. 22 bucks and a whole bar of Cadbury goes down the drain never to return.

UPDATE
The email was never delivered as there is no email with the address mentioned on the packaging. Its FAKE!

Hence, I was forced to take another approach - I tried contacting them on their page on Facebook.
Here are some snapshots of my conversation with Cadbury. I am surprised that they even bothered to reply but you will soon see that it was all in vain.

Turns out, they have another email which works. If they had updated their packaging with the working email address, things would have been simpler.

NO RESOLUTION!

The only thing I have learned from this is that Cadbury in India, managed by Mondelez India Foods Private Limited [Formerly, Cadbury India Ltd] has some serious quality control issues that are turning out to be a health hazard for all of us. If you are blessed with a good piece of this chocolate - you could deem yourself lucky. I have given up on this brand after I realized that the switch over from Cadbury to Mondelez has left some open wounds in the already highly bureaucratic company.

I would like to announce that I have given up on all products owned by Mondelez and stopped pursuing this case in which I got served a rotten deal on a silver platter at my expense. The company looks like it has distanced itself from providing true value to customers and instead resorted to protecting the interests of the dealers and retailers only. I have since moved on to Nestle. Kit-Kat is what meets the demand of the need for something really 'Meetha' now.
